My name is Kristina Yordanova and I am a researcher in artificial intelligence, data science, and ubiquitous computing.
My research interests are in the fields of activity and intention recognition, human behaviour models, knowledge elicitation, natural language processing (especially methods for classification of text, domain-specific named entity recognition and relation extraction, prompt engineering and GraphRAG approaches), and automatic extraction of behaviour models from textual sources.
I am the head and founding director of the Institute of Data Science at the University of Greifswald. Previously I was the group leader of the junior research group CoMSA²t at the University of Rostock (Cognitive Methods for Situation-Aware Assistive Systems). In the past I have been a honorary research associate at the University of Bristol and a fellow at Collegium Helveticum, operated jointly by the University of Zürich and ETH Zürich.
