PIDI

The Practical Computer Science Group (PIDI) addresses the connection between computer science and students learning. From the perspective of didactic, the group investigates different ways and types of providing learning materials and information to the students. From the perspective of practical computer science, the group works with artificial intelligence methods and methods from cognitive science for supporting people in learning. With the increase of digitalisation in our society, also the abilities of machines to support our learning process through intelligent methods increases. Such digital tutors are able to provide intelligent, personalised, and situation-aware support.

I joined the PIDI group in September 2019 in the context of the DigiCare project. There, I am responsible for leading the computer science part of the project’s team and for developing methods for chatbot-based support of students in nursing and nursing management studies.
