Since September 2022 I lead the new Institute for Data Science at the University of Greifswald. The Institute for Data Science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences develops new data science methods including machine learning, data modelling, data management, data fusion, data visualisation etc. and their applications in interdisciplinary domains. Furthermore, the institute addresses important legal and ethical questions related to data science and the way we handle data. The institute is very interdisciplinary and aims to provide a bridge between the different faculties and institutes at the university.
